High Park Trails
It’s easy to stay close to the city for a wonderful hiking experience. High Park Trails are west of downtown, not far from the Museum of Contemporary Art. This urban green space offers 5.3 km of trails with an elevation of 56 m at its highest. Thanks to its smooth and accessible pathways, this area is ideal for all kinds of adventurers as well as dogs.
West Humber River Recreation Trail
If you’d prefer a longer journey, consider stopping by the West Humber River Recreation Trail, which extends 19 km along the West Humber River. What’s great about this area is that you’ll encounter various wildlife, recreation areas, wooded patches, and scenic bridges along the way.
Lower Don River Trail
Another trail option with close proximity to downtown and a river is the Lower Don River Trail. With a higher elevation gain of 120 m, this 6.8-km trail is better for more experienced hikers.
